International Online Session on Academic Mobility between UEHS (Warsaw, Poland) and Sumy State Pedagogical University (Ukraine) 🌍🎓

On April 4, 2025, an international online session titled “International Mobility of Academic Staff and Higher Education Students: National, European, and Global Practices” was held, bringing together representatives of two partner universities — the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw (Poland) and Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko (Ukraine).
Among the distinguished speakers were:
✅Dr. Hab., UEHS Prof. Yan Kapranov (Poland), Dr. Bożena Iwanowska (Poland);
✅Prof. Dr. Olena Semenog, Prof. Dr. Maryna Boichenko, and Yuliia Shulha, Head of the Office for European Integration and Internationalization (Ukraine).
Additional participants included Associate Professors Iryna Protsenko, Maryna Bykova, and Zhanna Cherniakova from the Department of Pedagogy.
Speakers discussed academic mobility achievements under the ESPERIDTA project – European Studies for Supporting Polish Education and Research in Digital Transformation: Interdisciplinary Approach (Grant Agreement 101172710 – ERASMUS-JMO-2024-HEI-TCH-RSCH) 🇪🇺. Ukrainian colleagues shared updates on renewed doctoral programs and educational components for both MA and PhD levels.
Dr. Hab. Yan Kapranov and Dr. Bożena Iwanowska outlined key opportunities under Erasmus+ and Jean Monnet, highlighting best practices and challenges in national and global mobility schemes.
Topics also included credit recognition abroad, fostering post-war mobility for Ukrainian students and scholars, and planning new joint research projects and teaching exchanges.
The session was conducted in both English and Ukrainian to ensure inclusive participation and shared understanding 🤝📘.
